Hmmm. Well when i bought this, the seller had new, and refurbished lights for sale. I wonder if this could be refurbished. I hope not cause he told me its new and i wanted a new MV OVZ
One thing that did catch my attention in this light when i first opened it up is the slipfitter clamp bolts. Doesn't Cooper use bolts for the slipfitter that have slots in them for a flathead screewdriver? I've seen pics of OVHs on GoL with that type of bolt.
No i don't. I don't think the seller re-listed them yet. I can call him tomorrow and ask him if you'd like. I made the purchase with him over the phone. By the way, he had other lights listed just so you know. There was a 175 watt MV M250R2, a 175 watt G.E. NEMA head, but it was the head only, no optical assembly. And some other luminaires.
Cooper probably just uses whatever bolts they can buy at the cheapest price. Cooper's MV ballasts are excellent from what I've been told. I don't have any moden cobrahreads and no HID Cooper stuff. Cooper does find the cheapest way to get a result though.
I believe the old Westinghouse cobras used their own ballasts, oh and most Powerlites should use Sola Canada ballasts...at least both of mine were like that.
The AE ones use Advance I Think.. They have the same layout, they just have the AEL name on it. But advance probably makes them..
The good thing about GE is GE makes their own ballasts, their own capacitors, and their own fixtures. xD Well not sure about capacitors anymore.
