Was there actually a setup like this? Can you show me pics I mean actual historic pics of this kind of setup??? It seems Chicago used to be a clamshell paraise......New York City was never like that, it was mostly cuplight then after that big cobraheads with small open bottom fixtures...

I don't have any actual pics of the real thing, as I did not own a camera until well after the Changeover of '77. However, I could show you what it actually looked like back in the day (through the magic of Photoshop, of course). I just took a little artistic liscence here.

Oh yeah, I love them, but I don't only mean pics you took, I mean if you can find some links of pics other people have taken long time ago to show us...or even some videos that was videoed (not by you) along ago......

But if you have pics of the 80s, the 70s I would love to see them!

I see a crimefighter in the lower left corner. That is the fixtures that were on these when you took the picture right?

The best place I know of where you can find pics from the Golden Age of Streetlighting would be on Joe Maurath's "Vintage Streetlights" website. There's a folder devoted to Chicago Streetlights which I found fascinating.
