M-250 R2 lit.
Here is the M-250 R2 lit with 250 watts of HPS glory. I still dunno why it brightens up white like Metal Halide then turns yellow at the last minute.
But it isn't cycling or anything, it stays on for a reasonable amount of time.

How bright is 250 watts HPS compared to 400 watts MV? What is the lumens of both and the lumen difference?

coated 400W MV- 23000 lumens
clear 400W MV- 20000 lumens
250W HPS- 28000 lumens

The reason that the lamp starts up white and turns orange and the last minute is because it's an ALTO, they all do that, so do most of the "eco" lamps.

Wow, 250 watt HPS is BRIGHTER than 400 watt Mercury vapor? What is the lumens of 400 watt MH?

Ian you can look these things up online, probe start 400 watt MHs are around 32,000 and PSMH are 40,000.
