this GE does not look happy!
This thing got loose (this pole was actually missing an arm back in 2007! And this had gotten fixed with this new GE)

Now look at what happened! Perhaps this pole has a flaw like threading problem or something?

But this damage has since been fixed around July 5th or so. Same fixture and arm stayed, nothing changed, just fixed and put back up!

I like the High Voltage Transmission lines in the background.

The storm was THIS bad? Shocked Looks like one bolt was intact which is why the arm did not crash down.

I'm surprised the GE didn't lose the door!

How strong did the storm feel to you?

Shocked I've never seen this happen to our lights even after a nasty winter storm here.

I've seen a 6' tapered elliptical with just one lag bolt holding it to the utility pole. Shocked It stayed that way from before 2003 (when i moved down the street from it) until I reported it in 2010. Then it was taken down and another 100W HPS M-250R2 on a 6' upsweep arm was put up a year later. Why they just didn't fix the existing arm and light (both looked to be in great condition) is beyond me. NGrid is just that way: unpredictable!

Glad to see that you stayed safe though. Smile

Where exactly was that tapered arm? Maybe viewable in google map pr you have a pic?

It's on Comstock Parkway in Cranston (02921). There's no streetview, so this is the best I have. The satilite shows the new arm and light though.
