F36T8 Control Gear

Here's some typical ballasts (and starters) used with the common F36T8 lamp in HK like other 240V countries. The F36T8 is a preheat lamp designed as a drop in replacement for the F40T12 which is why they don't have the F32T8 overseas. Anyways preheat is still common overseas since the higher voltage allows them to use simple chokes (like in our F20 lumes) for longer lamps. Oh and speaking of fluorescents T12s, Slimlines, HO/VHO, and rapid start designs are no where to be seen in HK. Most fluorescents are either T8 or T5 with the odd F40T10 here and there.

There's some five and six footer bipin T8 on the subway system in HK though.
