Back to 400W MH!
Back in October I found an old high bay that was in bad shape so I took the ballast inside for my Appleton high bay! The lamp is a Philips MH400/U I got from my electrical school.

This particular Appleton model looks great with a MH lamp! I don't remember seeing any with those, all had MV lamps.

Cool, do I see a single lamp F40T12 striplight, an 8' F96T12 slimline striplight, and a weird F40T12 shoplight in the background?
Is this all the way warmed up or does the camera make it look dim as well as being mounted so low? I have a few 400w MH lamps and run without a reflector on the floor in a highbay head they are BRIGHT!

Yep, the single F40 is a recent project I made to replace a little preheat F20T12. It's connected with another single lamp F40T12 where the F20 used to be. The shoplight used to be T8, but I replaced the crappy electronic ballast by a Val-Miser F40T12 RS ballast three years ago. And the slimline fixture has been installed 2 ½ years ago.

The high bay was at full brightness, and it's very bright! Cool

Please tell me you're taking the florescent fixtures with me when the house eventually sells...
And you can test 400w MV lamps in this thing too!

Of course! We sell the house but I'm gonna have my own in a few years, so I keep everything!

Cool, maybe you could somehow set up the 8' slimline in your apartment Laughing
Hope no rare lamps get broken in your move...pack carefully!
