I so love that fixed four way! Cool Every time i see it (or any fixed four way signal) i just think about how cool they are! Very Happy This may strike as a weird question, but were fixed four ways ever made in three way with blank doors installed on one side?

Thanks guys. The four way is definitely one of my favorites. I bought it from a collector out in PA back in 2006. It came unrestored and disassembled and needed some cleaning and new paint. I fully restored it in mid July of '06.

To answer your question...yes, fixed signals were available in 1 to 4 directions. The unused sides either had a blank door (standard signal door, but no lens opening or visor holes machined onto it) or a sheet metal plate put over the housing opening. 1 way fixed heads were common in Washington State, some are still in service. I would assume they looked better than traditional heads...?

Oh cool! Yeah I'd bet the fixed signals were better looking than the traitional mono-direction signals. Smile You did an excellent job restoring this light! Cool I remember seeing that you remirrored the glass reflectors.

Thank you sir! The signal I remirrored was the one thats actually sitting disconnected in the extreme left hand side of the pic, under the ped signal. Its a Short Fin Eaglelux from the mid 40s. I took it down when I bought the older long fin model which is from the late 1930s. The reflectors in the four way are aluminum which were in decent shape when I got it, just needed a wipe down

That's a pretty nice save, especially one still with the original incandescent PAR lamps.
