Here's a rule of thumb, when replacing HPS with LED, get an LED fixture rated to replace the next wattage up from what you're repalcing. EX: to replace 100W HPS, buy a 150 or 200W equivalent LED fixture. Also, SILVER SIGNALS?! I'm actually thinking of painting my PEEK signal either black, silver, a recoat of the finish it is, or blue. Or maybe even a mix of silver and black or something. Since it's not a vintage signal i want to play around with my options.
They really should do that for most new LED lights. Anyway the signal is actually two colour, grey on the back and yellow in front. Seems like that's a Ontario thing though.
Oh and if you look in my gallery, I finally got a new set of walk/don't walk lenses to replace the cracked one.
I disagree, the 183 watt led fixtures here are as bright if not slightly brighter than the 250 watt HPS fixtures they replaced. The 93 watt fixtures on my road seem equivalent to 150 watt hps and the 49 watt fixtures are brighter than the 100 watt fixtures they replaced. Also, the manufacture does vary because the LRL'S satelittes are not as bright.
This light looks nicer than the longer spoon head LED's on many Vaughan side streets. Problem is this guy can't fit as big of an LED module inside, so it's like the dimmer little brother model?
@streetlight98 & Joe: signals only seem to be grey on the backside in Joe's region of Ontario, beats me why!
I just noticed there is hardware for a street sign on the signal mast arm, but the sign isn't there!
Yeah it looks a lot nicer than most LED streetlights I've seen but like you said it's pretty dim at night.
I think Niagara Falls also uses the grey back signals. I know Toronto uses the traditional yellow backed heads. Oh, and there used to be a sign on the mast arm around ten years ago but it fell off and wasn't replaced.

@ joe, is the mounting arm mounted on its side?
@Tony yeah the arm is side mounted on a special bracket. They do that here if the pole has guy wire going out the front.
