Cool! My middle and high schools were retrofitted to T8 before i came to them, though the middle school was built in 1970 and the high in the mid-to-late 50s. None of the fixtures in the high school are original, they're all cheesy looking Lithonia wrap lites and there's troffers in the new C2 wing and parabolic troffers in the computer rooms, also lithonias. The Gym lights at all the Cranston Public Schools were replaced with fluorescents when i was in the midde of the 7th grade. From X-mas break to currently my high school and my old middle school have had the outisde HID lights replaced by LED. They're actually just as bright as the HIDs but man are they glarey. Then again half the floods were out so of course the grounds are lit better lol.
My elementary school was built in '93 and had PL fluorescent exit signs and rapid start T12 fixtures but over the past year the exit signs are all replaced with LEDs which are a third as bright and 100 times more boring than the older PL signs, which had louvered bottoms and two PLs each. The fluorescent fixtures were all simply retrofitted to T8. the HIDs outside were all replaced (the parkinglot post tops were replaced with floods which looks very tacky and the PL and HID wallpacks were replaced by tiny little RAB LED wallpacks). It's a shame the PL exit signs are gone, as I had always wanted one. I loved the soft buzz and the entertainign flicker at EOL, which was a common sight at my elementary school lol. The emergency lights were all replaced too for some reason.
No, you forgot .78, .76 and I think .60 too...Nah anything .76A and under is "Energy saver" while .77A and above is full power. .77A ballasts can also run 34w lamps apparently, though for my .8A and .77A ones I'm using full wattage lamps.
This has now been in use every day sans the last month of so when I've been out-of-state. I have also converted the fixture to 3-lamp since this pic was taken.
