Nice job! I'd prefer this to seeing good lights scrapped.

Hmm. your utility doesn't have replacement Powr/Modules? well, you defiently take pride in making your ballast replacements look great! I see it's dated too, is that a requirement for replacement ballasts to have? Also what wattage is this?

Just an educated guess here, 310 watt HPS.

Washington DC is BIG on using Powerdoor stuff too as well as Chicago and Arizona for both large and small wattages

My electric company does use powr/modules for higher wattage fixtures, and apparently my state is starting to go for that too.

I definitely prefer replacing ballasts on the bench rather than "in the air" - it's nice to be able to remove the door and replace the ballast. I would imagine that most utilities that run PowrDoor fixtures have some spare doors ready to plug in. In my old neighborhood with its shoebox streetlights, if there was a ballast or ignitor problem, the entire fixture was removed and the pole would have nothing on it for about 3-4 months until a new fixture was installed.

1) not required to date it. 2) 400w 3) It was repaired on a bench, I took the powr door down and repared it in the shop, safer than being in traffic any longer than I need too. I have put the intesection on "Red Flash" when working on fast streets that are curved when working on safety lights, lighted signs, replacing LED signals.
