the horror! They look ugly by day and are eyesores at night too. PSMH/CMH or even induction would be such a better alternative. They use the same fixtures as HPS and MV and they're not glarey and just look much better overall.

My friend calls them beaver tails, I called them duck bills, but on second thought, they look like a low-flow toilet.

Yeah Rick Shields calls them toilet seat lids. These things look like they were run over by trucks before the casting hardened lol.
I heard LEDs are sadly going to make an appearance here in Rhode Island. On I-95 in downtown Providence.

Yes I do call them toilet seat lids.
They put them all over my area. The one in front has a bad PC and has been dayburning for months now.

Ice land and Hawaii has LPS. Low pressure sodium is 180lm, with the ballast per watt. LED is only 100
So 55w lps 9,900lm = 100w led 10,000.
