Dayburner since the day it was fixed...
|
There's two that have dayburned on this median stretch and at least half a dozen dayburners on the ramps. it's all the new PCs that are dayburning too not the older PCS that they (for some odd reason) didn't replace when they relamped the fixtures. They must've had a bad batch of PCs. no cycling lamps yet, though they didn't fix all the lights when they did the group relamp. they skipped like an 1/8th of the fixtures. Some are missing doors and reflectors so it's more than obvious they don't work at night lol. They didn't replace any missing poles either. They fixed all the double lights on the jersey barrier though.

Over here the freeway lights are owned by MTO and they pay the utility for the electricity but they have a contractor for the maintenance.

As far as I know, the lights are hooked up to fuses so the lights are blowing out in sections only a few days after they're fixed, meaning there's something wrong with the wiring. there are so many missing poles and exposed pole bases so the wiring has likely suffered since the conduit that runs up the base and has wires that are supposed to run up the pole is exposed and water can get in since there's no pole covering the conduit. Plus I'm sure where are exposed wires and possibly frayed insulation.
I think they should just replace the lights if they can't get them to work but since they've already tried fixing them it would be a waste of parts. I haven't seen them attempt to replace missing poles though. There's like 30+ missing poles at this one interchange.
