It's too bad it wasn't a front shot since it probably would have used DONT WALK and WALK lenses instead of the hand man lenses put in during the mid 70s.

The design looks like that of the early CGE signals too.

I didn't know we had the "Don't Walk" signals Shocked

Yeah, I believe we also had the WALK/WAIT signals too along with the DONT WALK/WALK signals with neon tubing inside. Here's a shot of a black CGE ped with a DONT WALK lens.

I bought a set of DONT WALK/WALK lenses for my CGE ped signal so I could pretend mine is a older one. Razz

I wish I was around to see them. Sad

The fact you got a don't walk/walk lens would make it believable. Razz I miss the days with the incandescent man and hand though Sad

The DONT WALK lenses are from way before my time too but I knew that they were used until the mid 70s or so (maybe later in smaller towns cause the driver's manual from the early 90s still have them). I guess I got on the Toronto archives too much lol.

I miss the days with the incandescent man and hand too...I wonder if the one at Square One is still incandescent. There was one at the crosswalk between the mall and the bus terminal.
