Heres a night shot of the NVN's lit at night. The post tops on this street have been disconnected. Annoyingly the other street has both its twistpaks and LED's on at night.
they installed some LEDs here, replacing 50W HPS lights and they're really not too bad. they're ugly and the distribution isn't that great but brightness wise i guess they're alright...
Oh man, all this time I thought you knew... It's too new for streetview, it's the intersection of Queen St. & Drinkwater.
Do you think Brampton traffic signal replacement projects will hold LED streetlights in 2014? I am completely unsure if to make that prediction.
I'm seeing LED's being regulary used in Mississauga where 10-250W HPS would traditionally be. For the first time last week, I saw LED's mounted on the highest concrete poles meant for 400W HPS, they were on a minor road, and dim, so I bet they were the kinds used to replace 250W applications. Other than that, all high concrete poles are still 400WHPS :/
Yeah sorry I did remember just kinda forgot about it
That intersection of Queen and Drinkwater is a newer intersection and has rare pedestrian signals. One of thems even a CGE, but the Incandescent part was removed. There are 3 of these rare signals but I have no idea what they are im guessing they are Econolite. But I wonder if they replaced them with Fortrans
If you go down Dixie past Eglington all the small roads such as golden orchard and winding trail the streetlights are also LED now along with Dixie.
Ah yes, when that stretch of Queen Street was reconstructed, the electrical contractor used old hardware randomly for signals, check out other intersections down the road too. They also re-used the poles. I think they used fresh OVX's that's it. I think they allowed this here because new signals were installed right before they were taken down for the reconstruction. But some pretty old hardware found its way back up here!
