Even though its White Light....its Much Dimmer...ill Take HPS over LED anyday.

After cut-off point, ideally there should be no light at all, so:
Most HPS installations = glarebombs...

Still glarey and dim Look down the road and you can see the HPS is much brighter!
rjluna2   [Apr 10, 2010 at 04:39 PM]
Shocked It doesn't even cast light on the street at all!!!

Don't forget there are two HPS fixtures on that pole after the LED (100w on the street, 200w leased to the shopping center) that makes it bright, but yes a single 100w HPS would still blow the LED out of the water.

I see a greenish light below the LEDs...whats that
Silverliner14B   [Apr 12, 2010 at 04:18 AM]
Oh! I believe it is some electrical device that PG&E installed on some of their power poles, they have a green 7 1/2w bulb.

I like the HPS so much better then the LED! bet they will have replaced the LEDs several times before having to replace the HPS!

PSE&G in NJ was smart enough to use icetrons, because I see them are actually doing pretty well!

i see a Cobrahead near the LED Fixture in the trees...what is that?...looks like a hubbell.

That is an AE 327, belongs to the strip mall. The strip mall has a mix of AE 327s, Revere 2700s, and Westinghouse OV-50s.

it is Mercury or Halides?
Silverliner14B   [Jun 18, 2010 at 03:18 AM]
That one has a MH lamp in it I believe. Most of the fixtures were converted from 1kw mercury to 400w MH.
