Oh brother. Rolling Eyes If they were looking for a tacky fix, just get a new NEMA head bucket and stick a keyless juction box lamholder loose inside the fixture. It give them their tacky fix for the day and it still would look decent. Laughing Looks like a 400W MH cram lamp too?

Also, how is that yardblaster staying on the "arm" without the slipfitter bracket? Shocked

good observation....I wonder how it's staying up there as well. Shocked

I will also add that drilling into the existing fixture head to mount another is just un-nessecary destruction of what looks like a classic top mount nema head!

Another kwality install. Rolling Eyes I suppose if you shake the pole, the yard light might slip off. Shocked

The correct fix for this thing would be to stick a NEMA balllast kit inside, fit a 175w merc in and put a bucket on. Razz

What is the world coming to?????

I saw this about 3-4 years ago before coming by to take a picture. It must be secured somehow possibly a self tapping screw on top. I have seen a conversion from an incandescent gumball to a MV blaster where the top of the gooseneck was cut with a Sawzall and a blaster attached. I looked on street view at that location and they had put in new poles and floods poss HPS or MH.

How about a F96T12/HO striplight inside a sign "fixed" with four of those jelly jar porch lights with spiral CFLs mounted to the channel cover?

Seems like you come across this often. xD They sure like to replace things with yardblasters. They should try to be better. Or maybe they are out of money, I dunno. xD
