Lights of America Phosphored HPS
|
This is the last of the 50w diffuse HPS that came from the five original Lights of America security light fixtures I used to have (4 of which suffered ballast failures). These are interesting lamps: The bulb is the same shape as the GE HPS lamps made in Holland, but has a Philips arc tube design and etch; also, the arc tube has a starting antenna and the coating appears to be a /DX mercury lamp phosphor, as it glows pink under black light (and slightly after the lamp starts as well). This lamp is almost at EOL now and cycles once every few hours so I pulled it from dusk-dawn service.
