The M-250R1 in Front of My Grandparents' House Replaced!

[/url] The New light is a 70W HPS M-250R2. As sad as I am to see all the old MVs go, it's sorta cool to see an entire street with all new lights, PCs, and bulbs. The new fixtures are so shiney!

That is a proud looking light on that 6 foot arm, Nice. I like the M2RR's specially with the acrylic lens it gives it a good character and the light distribution is outstanding.

Of course but at least it's a good replacement. not a pancake or a flat piece of plastic (LED).

Yeah I'd rather have a drop lens M-250R2 over a Cooper, especially because these are GE arms. Yeah NGrid said they have no plans to offer anything other than HPS so the NGrid-owned lights will remain drop lens HPS indefinitely. Smile

This street won't be seeing LED anytime soon then. I wish my city would use GE fixtures. Sad

Yeah none of the cities and towns in RI that NGrid runs will be seeing LEDs anytime soon. Smile Yeah it's fortunate that NGrid still used HID and they use drop lens lights too! They used FCO in Massachusetts though, probably because the towns requested it or something...

At least you guys are still installing HID, over here they recently started to refit the arterial roads to LED. They used different fixtures than what was used during the initial round of retrofits in 2014 though.
