Lost in trees. Mysterious location of 6 lanterns.
Yeah, there's a "row" of them in a quite dense forest that belongs to a sanatorium but isn't visited by patients anymore.
There are overgrown footpaths in the forest but there's none near the lanterns!
Not to mention they're on a side of a pretty steep hill, completely unsuitable for for walking.
And yet they are wired! Never seen them lit though.

Nice finds! Too bad they're in neglect. There was a closed down amusement park here that had lots of awesome vintage MVs that were abandoned but they've since gutted the place, clearing the whole thing into an open field to repurpose the land as a public state park. That's far better than seeing the poor amusement park sit and decay but so sad to see all the vintage lights and the memories to disappear. The park closed in January 1996 and sat totally vacant until around 2011 when they made a bike path along the waterfront. Then over the summer of 2014 they leveled the place. Very boring looking now. Just grass with a few trees here-and-there.

The lanterns still look in reasonably good condition.

Yeah. These lanterns are made mainly from a hardened plastic (pre-preg?) so no problem with corrosion and they're under the canopy of trees so no problem with sunlight.

Looks like a neat old lantern Cool
This also looks way more forested/grown up than that little area I saw some lights in . LOL

In either case, it woulda been interesting to have seen the place when they were installed.
