Well the B2255 and old pole have come down because Guild Electric is putting up median streetlights instead, (or a knockdown when I took a better look at this) This is a temporary traffic light until something new goes in RIP B2255 :(
I biked by this yesterday! I dunno man, zoom in, looks like a knock down as the base left I saw is destroyed, bolts bent! It would be funny if a high pole was just mounted in the median temporarily for safe keeping until a new streetside base is made LOL.
Check out how they ran leads to the temp signal from the well next to the pole.
Did you notice the warped metal base plate weighing down the temp pole pedestal? They'll use anything that's heavy. Wonder how heavy that piece of metal is
Im not doubting a knockdown, but im suspicious because a week or two ago they set up a taller median pole there and now the B2255 pole is down. The metal and bolts do look bent though, I wonder if it was fresh at the time. Guild Electric was still there, but no signs of the pole, signal and B2255.
Ok so the median pole now has 1 standard tapered e arm on this one NB side with an OVZ. B2255 was not spared. Another big loss of old quality lights in our city
I remember the median lights at signalized intersections used to be a Scarborough thing until Peel Region recently started doing it. York Region prefers to use longer arms on the curb side pole instead.
Since they put the lopsided one arm pole in the median, I think they will transfer it to this streetside when a new concrete base is poured. I'm amazed they'd go to the effort of upgrading the median temporarily for one downed light!
But the thing is that B2255 pole was there for weeks after that tall median pole came in. Just so happend it got knocked down before work was even done
the only sense I can make of this is this is an example of a time warp (somehow the contractor got an order to add a light for a pending knockdown/predicted it)

I think only Scarborough still has a decent number of B2255s now.
Only long term construction projects get temp lighting.
