Power Products Preheat Fluorescent Light
I picked up this neat little preheat fluorescent fixture at the local Habitat for Humanity Re-Store. Dated 1984. Came with the black-ender tube as shown.

I got a little creative with this one...originally this fixture was plain white, but I opted for a custom wood-grain finish. Turned out pretty good I think!

I put woodgrain contact-paper sorta like that on a shoplight once (was using it on a fishtank & wanted it to look a bit nicer .lol. )

Awesome! Also, the beds in my dorm room are practically identical to yours.

xmaslightguy - That sounds neat! I really like the faux wood look on old appliances/electronics...it really gives it that 70s/80s vibe. Cool

nicksfans - LOL, that bed is my dorm room bed as well. Laughing I've actually got two other fluorescent fixtures "installed" underneath too, as well as a 30" ceiling fan!

I have a pair of striplights with /BLB lamps attached to my bed. The ceiling fan is pretty wild...I doubt the housing department here would be fine with that. They perform safety inspections in all the dorm rooms once in a while.
