Located at the entrance to the side street that heads toward my new house. This replaced a 150 watt HPS Durastar 20. The bracket was upgraded to this A-frame when the LED was installed. The Durastar was originally on an 8' upsweep aluminum bracket with an underbrace from utility metals.

Tony you can't escape those toilet seat lights, now can you? Razz Laughing Don't see very many new A-frame lights! Connecticut has them but they're all rusty and yucky looking. I didn't know they even still made these style arms. They never used them here.

I like these arms too. It's nice to know they still make them. Do we know what manufacturer makes this arm?

You ain't kidding mike Laughing . I guesss it's better than looking at a durastar, alothough the street you take to get to mine is lit with durastars. I was surprised to see the A-frames installed since the original 8' brackets were more than adequate for the street. I'm not sure who makes them as I did look on the material request for the utility and they do not list these brackets.

Yeah I'd take these over durastars too lol. At least these are made of metal and not fiberglass! Shocked

Ah so this utility is actually offering LED lights? I had figured the city/town had bought ownership of the lights from the utility company. That's the trend here since NGrid is too cheap to offer LEDs or dimming devices lol (plus I think they want out of the lighting business altogether since they don't seem to put a lot of effort into maintaining their lighting, so they're probably using LEDs as an excuse for the PUC to pass the law allowing municipalities to take over ownership of their own lights).

The town I live in is served by SHELD (South Hadley Electric Light Department) which is municipally owned so yeah they are offering LED. They ironically are still servicing the NEMA mercury fixtures that are sporadically still placed around town. They are using the ripely long life photocontrols on all types of fixtures including the mercs. I live half mile from NGRID territory and they still maintain those towns lights.

My company is in the same boat as Grid where we're trying to get out of the lighting business, they claim there isn't any money in it anymore.

Never seen an A-frame arm before. Looks like it's easiest to maufacture and also install with less bends and no mounting bracket welded on the end. And dare I say, this fixture looks ok on this arm. Maybe because I'm used to long straight arms in Canada

I'd say it's way easier to bend a pipe and weld a bracket to the end of it than construct one of these things...
