The grass needs all the help it can get to make it look lush and green lol. Even under clear MV the grass doesn't look spectacular, though it looked a little nicer in person lol.
Nice! My deck light is 100w /DX MV and the Spherolite Jr on the deck railing is 10w 3000K LED. The Spherolite Jr is 10W LED since it runs for around 6 hours every night after dusk.
Thanks! Yeah 100W Mv is just the right brightness for a yard if you've got neighbors in close quarters. Is the 10W LED a 75W=? I'd like to get some 100W= or even 150W= clear filament LEDs for my incandescent lights.
It was a recent LED but it was one of those 33 cent subsidized ones so I'd imagine they use a bit more power compared to the more expensive ones. Anyway I tried a 60w= LED filament in my Powerlite mini gumball, looks quite like the real thing if not a bit dimmer. Would be nice to try a 150w= or even a 100w= LED filament. I believe the old 189w incandescents were somewhat close to a regular life 150w lamp.
I also found some 5000 hr 200w clear incandescents at Restore, I bought 4 in case I decide to run incandescents in my mini gumball in the future. I don't have a use for them now since the one I run dusk to dawn uses a 60w= LED to save energy and 200w incandescent would be overkill in my backyard. The one in my room I use 39w CMH. A 200w incandescent would generate quite a bit of heat indoors lol.
Yeah, the provincial government is really pushing LED retrofit bulbs now by subsidizing them heavily. They had a recent event where you could have gotten a pack of 3000K =60W LEDs for $1.
I remember back before the LED craze, they used to subsidize $10 for every T8 ballast change out. Unlike other government lighting subsidies, they never asked for the old T12 ballasts or required them to be destroyed.
Wow that's really generous. My grandpa would like those incentives. He's been trying to have a T8 retrofit for a few years now but he wants the electric company to sponsor it lol.
