Those and the RLM style ones has recently gotten replaced (both poles and the fixtures) wit pretty much almost EXACTLY the same setups...the poles are pretty much the same with 2 fixtures and all, with the fixtures that are also Holophanes too but in this style instead of those older buckets

Do these Lower like a normal highmast?
GullWhiz   [Jan 02, 2012 at 06:07 PM]
Nope! Bucket truck needed!
LilCinnamon   [Jan 02, 2012 at 06:25 PM]
that would be one biiig bucket truck.
GullWhiz   [Jan 02, 2012 at 06:49 PM]
They are not THAT tall...they are about same or shorter than a wooden pole
Silverliner14B   [Jan 02, 2012 at 07:14 PM]
They look to be about 35' tall, the 28' light poles here in CA are shorter than this.

It would still be scary to service those, though. xD They are high up, and on a BRIDGE, which makes it worse. xD

If a car goes and hits your bucket truck while you are working.. Man that would be bad. o.o

The few times I used a scissor lift, I loved it! I don't like feeling unsafe when I am above ground, but as long as I feel safe, I actually like it!

If you look carefully in the distance in this pic, you can see some multiple fixtures some at median some scattered (the short ones) some having 5 and some 4 and some 3...turns out they pretty much did very similar setup on the new setup here.....the ends of the highway has 2 fixture setups while median in the South side has 4 fixtures and the median on the North Side of I-395 has 3 fixture poles..............

I see the multiple lights! BTW, the twin mini masts here are commonly seen in similar form along the center medians in Arizona.

Yeah the new ones also have the multiple lights up to 4....the older short mast ones were either 5 or 6......some were missing fixtures....
