Globe lantern with a regular A60 2700K color LED lamp The problem is that most of the light being thrown upward and the area is only dimly lit by the secondary beam of the lamp. The reason why standard A60 LED lamps are common in globe lanterns here in Israel, instead of LED filament lamps, is because LED filament lamps are considerably more expensive than regular LED lamps. a 15W LED filament lamp is much more expensive than a regular 24W A60 LED lamp.
