Highmast Control Cabinet
Here's a overexposed pic I have of the highmast light control cabinet that Ontario uses, it's called a "distribution assembly" by the manufacturer and MTO. 

You could see the green pad mount transformer that feeds the lights and the control cabinet housing the large contactors (which has a PC on the short pole) that controls the highmast lights on the freeway for about 2 km/1 1/4 Mi or so. These cabinets are usually fed with a 347/600V 3 Phase Wye supply.

Those must be some Pretty Big Contactors!...isnt a Contactor like a Big,Heavy Duty Relay?

No problem, can you post a pic of the bigger control box, I thought that these were the biggest used by MTO

Yep I will try to get a picture, it might not be a MTO one (the one I can easily get to is at a go station) But I have seen the size used by the MTO.

Yeah that's the one I was talking about, there is one at the Bramalea GO station and I know of one that has been installed with the 401/403/410 interchange project, I've also seen one before somewhere on a 400 series highway but I forget where.

Older ones have overrated contactors, and they last essentially forever. I used a 63A 3 pole contactor to switch a 10A or so load here where I stay, a little overkill, but the contactor will wear out mechanically before it fails electrically, and will survive any output fault current a lot better than the breaker feeding it will, as I have found out after a fitting or two died dead short.
