a Little Extra Info...the Streamlines were Produced only from 1952 to 1957....1957 is when GE's Signal Division got Bought out by Econolite....so These are OLD.....This Design was a Base of Sort's for Later Econolite "Bullseye" Type designs...which were Cast Vs Stamped.

They Also made a Pedestrial Signal Version that's Even Rarer...it was the Same Stamped Aluminimum Style Body..but it has Two Sections with a "Walk" and Don't Walk" Mask Behind the Lense. Wink

Any chance the newer versions is very similar to above but had square doors and rounded back with "Target groove designs"

The Econolite Bullseye Signals look like THIS as you can see the Design is Pretty Similar...obviously the biggest diffrence is the Cast Housing.

The ones I was talking about looks very like what you just showed me except the front doors were squared.......I saw a good number of those (with front square doors) in Illinois many in Cook County.....

See here (and yes you see lots of MV in that area)

i Think the one's with the Square door's are also Econolites...just a Diffrent Variation....i Seen One Econolite...but it wasn't in Service...it was Mounted up on some sort of industrial Building....and it was a Single Section...not a Full 3 Section Head.

Yup Jace i Checked...the Squaredoor is indeed an Econolite if you scroll down this Forum Page you can see one. in Particular the 3Rd and 9Th Post Starting from the Top. Wink

Also Here you can see one that was Auctioned off a couple of years ago.

these were produced during WWII when aluminum went towards the war effort. Stamped from sheet metal I seen a few of these up close, they're tiny, frail, and light weight
