The LCD panels of a fuel pump of Sonol gas station at night They are probably backlighted simply by F8T5 fluorescents. I think this fuel pump itself is Israeli, since the LCD panels looks more of a "Home made" panels. The english texts are only for tourists. I see 95 and 96...but what does the far left say? We have some fuel pump panels that looks just like this...simple.....I have really yet to see any actual color pixel style LCD screens for gas price....but for payment or credit card screens, that I have seen.....

Hi Jace, I was able to deciper the Hebrew script and it says "Gold Diesel".

You know what's ironic....my family comes from the Jewish side.....in fact I got some relatives living in Israel!!! And I can't read Hebrew! How did you do it?

Octane 96 is a leaded gasoline and aren't imported more, hence there is no price on it. Octane 95 an the unleaded gasoline and Gold Diesel is a diesel oil that i think Sonol fuel company improved it.
The cost are higher then the US cost because we haven't our own oil and we have also oil taxes.
Also, the reason why the diesel oil in this pump is much higher in cost is to deter people from buying private cars operating by a diesel engine.
For commercial vehicles such as taxies, buses and trucks, the diesel oil cost is much lower.
