Looks like it's in pretty bad shape, did they fix it up or left it as is? Not at lot of old GEs in my area.
lite_lover   [Oct 02, 2010 at 01:56 AM]
Yes it was fixed a couple days ago, unfortunately lol.I asked if I could get it if the fixture wasn't worth repairing,I was hoping they were going to replace it since it was falling apart and didn't have a refractor Mad
@ Jace: I was most likely reballasted at some point with a MH/MV ballast, the cap looks like it's a plastic case unless just the cap was replaced,it was hard to see if the ballast was original.Who ever repaired the fixture before sure didn't secure the cap as it's hanging as well.

just offer them a extra streetlight, you could offer to replace yourself....or offer them an extra GE glass!
Form109   [Oct 02, 2010 at 04:46 PM]
or offer to trade your Durastar... Laughing

"I can't help but notice that your lighting system is kind of outdated, would you be willing to let me offer a free upgrade to a modern and energy efficient HPS lighting system complete with glare free FCO optics and a durable corrosion free fibreglass body. All you need is to let me have the old light for proper disposal" Laughing

Joe....great job!

I know....who's responsible for this damage! A certain gull is the suspect!

TiCoune66   [Jan 04, 2011 at 11:50 PM]
Oh I don't know... that's a lumber yard . I'm just saying... Laughing
gailgrove   [Mar 30, 2011 at 11:26 PM]
For a lumber yard the wooden pole sure isn't in good shape, BTW Darren has anything been done about this?
streetlight98   [Apr 07, 2011 at 09:53 PM]
Yeah ironic isn't it?

Hey Niall,an electrician was called, and was able to put it back together, too bad lol.It was working for awhile but now it's burned out. This is at a lumber yard, actually an old LumberLand store and lumber yard that became a Rona.Yes they should replace the pole, somebody there should be knowledgeable enough to source a replacement, but probably no one even notices. There are two Rona's in Abbotsford, the other is a big box store like the Home Depot.

You know the old saying about the cobbler's children's shoes........
gailgrove   [Apr 08, 2011 at 08:20 PM]
Did they replace the refractor?
lite_lover   [Apr 09, 2011 at 06:14 PM]
No they didn't replace the refractor.
