Powerlite SignLite Sign Flood
Here's a front view of a Powerlite floodlight that's used to light overhead highway signs, the sign that this lighting is gone and the sign lights don't light up anymore. Interesting how they used socket reducers so they could use medium based MV lamps. The lamp in this one is a Westy 125w ED shaped lamp, the date code looks like it's 44.

Note that this fixture was made before the GTE Sylvania logo started to appear on the tag. I also guess this fixture was a special version made for the MTC (which is now the MTO) since it has a MTC suffix in the model mumber.

May it be a Chestinghouse and not an actual genuine Westinghouse? If not, then it's one rare lamp!

Yeah I never seen a 125w Westy before either. I think that flood has been disconnected for at least 15 years now, the highway sign it was lighting was removed around then too. I wonder when would the lamp date to, the date code on it looks like 44.

that westy lamp doesn't look chinese to me, and 4 4 def looks like a westinghouse date code, but I don't know if westy made it themselves or if they got it from europe. either way that looks like it's worth saving if possible. Shocked

Maybe the Canadian Westinghouse did make a small run of 125Ws since they seemed to have a certain niche market in Canada. There's only one way to know: Get the lamp Joe! xD

Well, If I ever catch a crew working on these I would see if I could save them but I know that it's hard to get stuff from the City or Toronto. I believe Niall tried getting a Toronto gumball a while and had difficulties.
