M-250 r2 closed. Hmmmm.... This is an oddity. Well, there were some workers working on a pole, they had the streetlight on the ground, so I took a couple pics of the inside. The oddity of this, it has an FCO reflector but has a drop plastic refractor. Keywords: American_Streetlights

We never use plastic ones here, its always glass even on 70 watters Razz

all our cobraheads below 200 Use Plastic...200 and Above is Glass.

Sometimes there is glass all the way down to 50 watts. xD I think there were a few like that in kentucky.

they were likely Ordered from GE like that....even for low wattages id like glass.

I wonder if this was even factory-intended. GE wouldn't use an FCO reflector and a plastic refractor on a 250w HPS fixture. My guess is this used to be FCO, but they got a refractor, added it in, because they wanted drop lens for this, and didn't think about lighting distribution.

Over here they tend to change from plastic to glass. They don't install any plastic refractor anymore.

That M250R2 likely had an FCO lens originally, I guess they didn't have any replacement FCO lens for it.

Yeah. I must be lucky to find lights being worked on and on the ground. xD Got to take pics of them.
