Canada kept the classic silver colors or unpainted streetlights in most brands (except for GE who apparently is too stubborn to give a silver option again) also Canada kept the clear top MV lamps longer than the USA!
@Devonte, Yep, a lot of the older Powerlite cobras look a lot like the classic cobras, especially the silver era GE's to me.
@Jace, yep lot's of silver cobras still being installed here like you said. Don't know when the last cleartop was made but it has to be until the early '80s.
Anyways, I'll have the Gull fly your R37 over, just let me know your address. Not responsible for breakage or Gull paint though.
And yeah, a lot of the low wattage HPS cobras (150w and under) have been scrapped and replaced with waffles. The medium wattage cobras used on arterial roads are still HPS.
Interestingly, Google recently added a feature that let's you change which year to see in Streetview so here's a link of this intersection in 2007 showing the original incandescent CGE 8-8-8 and the CGE ped. I believe they were changed out to the current Durasig LED signals shortly after the Streetview was taken.
Yeah, the Streetviews from 2007 were pretty bad lol. But then again, I didn't know that Google even had them as the 2009 Streetviews were the initial set.
I love the 2007 look back! I now know what used to be where this an eagle left turn signal was I never remembered whether it was CGE or Eagle because it was knocked down in 2009.

R37 also got gobbled up by waffles and cream cheese.
