Looks very similar to this

Plus nice arm and pole! looks very American as known as the curved truss arm (the bracket that is)

This is definitely the same lantern. I'm still wondering how it could have been used in the USA... You can find it all over France and in most of French speaking African countries, sometimes in other European countries (Switzerland, Israel...), but in the USA... Shocked
For about 20 years, in France we use to associate brackets and lanterns. For a long time we use to use colours like red, blue, green, yellow, dark, white, etc... in fonction of areas in which pole are.

@phozagora: I've never seen this lantern here in Israel.
