Where I LIVE is rural, as most of you already know. Roads are dirt, bumpy. N o streetlights though. Just yardblasters occasionally. 285 has streetlights too.
Yeah, ComEd only has street lights at some but not all intersections. This road is incredibly dark at night, and there's a lot of deer around here that make it even more dangerous at night.
Yeah BGE can be the same thing.....one thing I've noticed on ComEd which isn't too common in most electrical companies is how the arm and fixture is installed....when on intersections or corners....they tend to mount them diagnally on the intersections or enterances (such as residental enterances) BGE has some setups like that....having streetlight installed diagnally to the intersection or a residental enterance...but not as much as ComEd....other electrical companies doesn't seem to do such installations at all while others do!
Yeah I think they do that so the light is focused over the center of the intersection. There are a few of them that aren't diagonal, but I would say 95% of them are.
