This Ace Hardware 100 Watts Clear light bulb burned out yesterday. I want you to do a bit of detective work on this burned out bulb and see what you can find how it die.
You got that nasty arcing right, Silverliner14B. Though you can't see at this picture, the fuse below the stem has been blown. We had rain at that night, but I don't know if there has been power surge. But it could be just failed due to age of the filament. Point for SeanB~1 and another point for Silverliner.
Is there anything else that we overlook at the investingation of incandescent EOL? I see one more thing on this.
@Update: I found my network based printer did self test page around in between my visit. It might have a power dip at that time that caused to fail.
Nope, it didn't get knocked over. It was burning when I left my bedroom. When I made the next visit to my bedroom, it was already burned out.
Anybody? Anything else?
