wow. this looks so bright. Shocked
Antstar85   [Aug 19, 2011 at 03:24 AM]
Good ole 175 watt mv lamp!!!
streetlight98   [Aug 19, 2011 at 03:28 AM]
your PC must not be that sensitive if it fired up 45 min ago and it's still bright outside.
Antstar85   [Aug 19, 2011 at 03:31 AM]
Actually the camera made it look lighter than it was outside. That photocell is very sensitive. It comes on later than all the lights out in the road and it's in a shady spot to.

sounds like my fisher peirce 120v Suntech PC. VERY sensitive. N-grid uses those now. They seem to alternate alot.
Antstar85   [Aug 19, 2011 at 03:37 AM]
NU uses all suntech FP electronic controls. That's what I have in both lights

They're definetly good stuff. Mines from 2010. BTW, i alway liked how mv accents green grass and leaves. Everything looks so lush.

Yes! I used to have a 50 watt hps before this one and what a difference it made!
streetlight98   [Aug 19, 2011 at 03:44 AM]
yeah hps makes grass look like it's on fire. Confused
Antstar85   [Aug 19, 2011 at 03:47 AM]
It's my sisters light now, I installed it at her house last year.

I have both HPS (dusk to dawn, but on a switch) and clear mercury fixtures (on a switch) lighting my front & back lawns - the HPS is usually just fine, because the grass is usually dead. If it's sorta green, the clear mercury makes it look greener.

What's funny is here they will alternate between PCs that come on very early and ones the come on very late, I find it quite annoying. Of course the light in front my house had to get one that comes on far to late and goes off far to early.

I have a 175 watt mercury vapor streetlight outside my house that comes on when the other streetlights do but shuts off a few minutes after the other ones do.

The light in front of my house comes on pretty late and shuts off early too. I like more sensitive controls. Means less energy and the lamp and ballast won't be working for that extra time that the less sensitive PCs keep it on for.
Antstar85   [Oct 18, 2011 at 08:36 PM]
Electronic PC's have better light response than the old relay ones.
streetlight98   [Oct 18, 2011 at 10:20 PM]
Yeah. i still have a spot in me for the older PCs too.
