Well, it's not going to cost that much, a microwave uses about the same amount of electricity. Here electricity cost about 6 cent a KWH so you could run it for an hour and it would cost about 7 or 8 cents!
By a whole cent! We do have some of the cheapest electricity in the world here! A lot of industries keep it low since they use so much electricity plus having government owned utility companies means they aren't trying to make a profit, also lowering the cost.
Yeah the sign i saw said "1 American = 0.95 Canadian Dollar" My family and i got confused by the different units of measurment. We had to guess the speed in MPH because our car only has MPH not KPH.
some car's with digital Instrument clusters can switch the readings from metric to imperial...i know the 90's Lincoln Towncars intended for the Canadian market had that feature...and some oldsmobile models too.
The cars here with analogue instrument clusters usually have two scales for the speedometer, km/h on the outside and mph on the inside. I believe cars sold in the US have the scales flipped.
our infiniti and hyundai have MPH on the outside with KMH on the inside.....and i think some Pontiacs have analog clusters that can switch from MPH to KMH....Digital Clusters aren't that common...they became common for a period, but it seems people preferred analog.
