Power door with original ballast.
Here is the original ballast on the power door. Pretty dirty after a while in service. Ignitor looks WAY different than the GE ignitors I am used to. xD

Ballast is as big as my 250w M-400 A2 ballast. Not sure if this is regulated lag or not.

Have you checked the capacitor for a date?

I wonder if GEs also have the date on the ballast and fixture label?
Silverliner14B   [Oct 24, 2011 at 08:13 PM]
Yep, if the label is readable lol. BTW my GE M400R2 FCO 310w HPS unit has the same ballast type using three coils.

Is yours 240 volts? Or 120?

This ballast is 240 volts and I don't see it say "120 x 240" Just "240"

I am gonna save this ballast, even though it's not gonna be used in the fixture.

I have the ignitor like this one....on my GE M-250A1 powerdoor....just don't got a fixture! Check the cap...it should be readable since its usually engraved..
