FILE 48/209
M250A1 Merc 175
The M250A's are not very common for ComEd. I drove by this one in the summer and it had a really loud ballast.

I have noticed GE fixtures tend to get loud as they age....but not always though...

I can only imagine my M-400 after 20+ years dusk to dawn
Their NEMA heads seem to be very quiet though...

Actually I have a GE NEMA from 1965....it's the LOUDEST of all my streetlights!
My oldest streetight I have in my collection with a ballast is a OV-14B and it's EXTREMELY quiet and had 40 years of service!

CWI ballasts seem to be the loudest.
