Very nice! There are a few of these left in Washington, but the mercs aren't working and the HPS ones are down to their final years. BTW Are those LPS shoeboxes behind this one?

Sweet. Those double poles are cool looking. Cool

I never seen that double pole design, are those series circuits?

@vaporeyes, these shoeboxes are MH.
@crazylamp, yes they are series. I agree with everybody these double poles are cool! Who else thinks they are cool?

What voltage are the lines?

I have seen double poles SIMILAR to these except they only have three 45 KV wires and one ground. There are a couple like that right by my house, most on the power lines are single poles but sometimes they do double poles, there is a set over the road, the ones near my house go over a valley, and there are some in various places. I guess for extra support. On the Sub-Transmission lines that bring power to my house.

But I have seen lots of double pole configurations in rural areas, say in the mountains or in the plains for 115 KV lines or 345 KV lines. They have disc suspension insulators haging down but they have double wood poles and cross bars and the three wires are going horizontal. Pretty common in the entire USA in rural areas...
