LED OVH!
A small parking lot owned by the LA county on Foothill Blvd in La Canada Flintridge just got these LEDs. They replaced HPS ITT Series 13s and GE M250R2s. They are pretty bright and seems to have a smoother light distribution than the BetaLEDs and Leoteks.

We had some here up at one time but were changed out to the Leoteks. I was quite impressed with the distribution of these.

now this is an LED fixture i like...because well...it doesnt look like an Open book or a waffle iron!

I like all LED fixtures, I prefer cobrahead ones though, but still.

LED streetlights look cool at night, and not to mention they light up the road really well! And the color is nice.

I would like an LED streetlight of my own, but they are expensive.

It doesn't look like a toilet seat or flyswatter either Smile

Not bad looking, but too bad the ITT13s had to be replaced by these and not HID OVHs lol.

If LED is what we have to look forward to seeing more of in the future, I'd rather see more of these than a lot of the other LED streetlights out there. At least Cooper took their OVH and turned it into an LED luminaire. It's better that they did that instead of coming up with their own version of a waffle iron streetlight Laughing Now, if only other streetlight manufacturers would do the same thing Sad

Of all the LED lights, I think these look the most like a traditional HID streetlight. Too bad they don't come in drop lens though.

This is what other streetlight manufacturers should do. G.E. should make the M250R2 in an LED model, and AEL should make the 115 in an LED model Very Happy That would be cool. At least streetlights wouldn't look like aliens Laughing

Definitely one of the better looking led fixtures out there..not that I'm a fan of this junk

They just started putting in OVF LED lumes near me (the larger body full cut off by cooper). Funny thing is, some have far less diodes in them than this OVH. These bodies must be pretty modular with many diode module options.

I wish Cooper Lighting offered induction street lights.

When my city does a huge LED switchover I'd like to see LED OVH's, or 125's
Antstar85   [Oct 01, 2013 at 02:17 AM]
We have done test LED OVF's we installed here in mass but my company have settled with the GE evolve stable fixtures. We are currently replacing MH M-250R2's with them.

and these Cooper LEDs have Advance drivers too so they should last, as Philips seems to be full steam ahead with the LED movement.
xmaslightguy   [Oct 01, 2013 at 03:42 AM]
nice..looks just like a normal streetlight
