Nice!!! Very interesting find. You never know what you'll find for private lighting. The island towns of Newport and Jamestown, Rhose Island. Feature incandescent radial waves and admiral hat lights on the side roads and Mercury vapor 60's M400s and OV-25s on highways. The clamshells on RI highway 138 unfourtunatly got replaced with 250w HPS M-250R2s. Still the origional poles and the rest of the lights were left alone though.

Still working Dave?

i thought the stamped ones had the Rounded Refractor...or was the round refractor on the stamped early on with the square glass coming in later?

Gull, I don't know if it works, wasnt there at night.

Form109, I think Westinghouse made both types of glass at one time. I saw historical photos from '50 showing freeways under construction around here in Los Angeles, and the OV20 pendants had the peanut shaped refractors. Yet I remember some cast OV20s from freeways built around '53-'54 and some of them had rounded refractors.

Then go there at night Dayve! It could even be switched or timer controlled...try tracking down the wiring....sometimes you find a PC or switches or whatever...hehehehe

Don't worry, the day will come when I go by there at night.

Cool. I like the round refractor for the top mount ones but I like these refractors on the side mount Ov20
