Not bad in a land where the government says YES to communism (that is Kalifornia), eh?
TiCoune66   [Jun 09, 2011 at 01:50 AM]
Indeed, not bad! As surprising as it may sound, there are still incandescent and mercury lamps existing in the Republic of Kuebec! (Quebec) LOL

I agree, not bad! Not sure if incandescent is still used for streetlighting in Ontario but I came across some mercury lights last year.

We still have lots of oldies in Southern California, series incandescents, mercs, etc still used for street lighting. Some people are amazed that California talks about energy efficency, yet has some very interesting old things. How about states like Arizona and Connecticut where everything is HPS and even going to LEDs?

@Vince, Republic of Kuebec LOL! Very Happy

Which ones have the wires cut?
Silverliner14B   [Jun 11, 2011 at 10:31 PM]
@streetlights98, the first two on the right have cut up wiring.

@Dave: The funny thing (or not) is that if Quebec becomes an independant country, it'd be called Republic of Quebec! It just sounds so communist for some reason XD

It does. I've been learning about Kanada in social Studies but I still don't get why they want to be separete. maybe since you live there vince you could explain to me better than my teacher.

@streetlight98 Kanada? Laughing Razz

Here's a good overview on Quebec though.

I got "Kanada" from "Kalifornia" and Kuebec". I scanned through the article, lots of interesting stuff about Quebec and Canada. I tend to like science better than the social studies but it's good to know some ancestry. My mom's grandparents are french-canadians.

Well the likely hood of Quebec becoming its own country is pretty much none, what's with the "K"s Laughing
