Sweet Combo, they had R7's in the Birmingham,AL vicinity along with several other Sylvania Models,M400's around here are becoming less and less as old small towns scrap their old MV installs.

I agree, even nicer would be a M400A and a B2255, that would be cool Very Happy

B2555 resembles a M400A somewhat. Very Happy
joe_347V   [Jun 12, 2011 at 05:32 AM]
Yep it does, even the internals have some similar parts. Very Happy

Dave...the GE M-400 looks like it either has plastic refractor or a frosted glass refractor?
streetlight98   [Jun 12, 2011 at 03:18 PM]
Maybe plastic, or its dirty. My OV25s lens was fogged up with dirt when I got it. A good spray of the hose on "jet" mode gets it nice and clean.
gailgrove   [Jun 12, 2011 at 04:43 PM]
I've put refractors in the dishwasher before, that cleans them well Razz

Dishwasher. Shocked My parents would KILL me!After years of service, my OV10 just needed a quick rinse. My OV25 was at a race track, so the fumes really cooked up lots of grime on its lens and the outside of the reflector.

I didn't say I didn't get yelled at Laughing I haven't done it since.
Silverliner14B   [Jun 12, 2011 at 07:01 PM]
The M400 has a glass refractor for sure, just very dirty. Prolly from the smog in LA LA land lol.

@Gailgrove, wow you used a dishwasher eh?
joe_347V   [Jun 12, 2011 at 07:22 PM]
@Niall Dishwasher, did the B2255 refractor fit too? Laughing

I washed my refractors and traffic light lenses in the sink, it comes out pretty clean if you use Comet and scrub hard enough.

The B2255s refractor didn't fit in the sink and I had to clean it with a pressure washer
NiMo   [Jul 09, 2011 at 03:28 AM]
Don't use Comet. Bar Keeper's Friend works better and you don't need to scrub hard at all.

You can't find Bar Keeper's Friend in Canada and I'm not going to drive down to the US just to buy a cleaner. So to each their own Wink
