Thats all thats left of the Philips 400w merc in this OV-20. I didn't see any ding marks on the reflector, so maybe this lamp literally exploded due to a shorted series isolation ballast...

If it blew up, that would have been quite the explosion to blow off the refractor like that.

I don't think the force would be strong enough to blow the glass off, it was probably just missing.
