Hubbell MHS-Y400H8 400w MH
A nice Hubbell flood. It uses the larger version of the lamp so a MV can easily fit in there. Stupid cram-lamp floods. Those doesn't allow MV to be fitted. Unless there's a cram-lamp MV.

Would it kill them to use coated lamps in these floods? I don't mind clear in spots but flood are supposed to be diffused.

Who says floods are so pose to be defused? They are meant to be bright and intense, there is a cram 400 watt MV Wink I personally don't like these compact floods, they are to crammed and don't have a very good reflector

I personally like the GE PF-400 as a current floodlight fav. My all time favorite flood light is the one that came before the PF-400. I don't remember the name off hand.

I believe that was still called the PF400, my all time favourite would have to be the Wide-Lite F-series.

For large floods my favorite is the 1000 watt Widelite F Series. For smaller floods, the Hubbell Miniliter II. This one appears to to be a IV. I prefer the II series as it looks more interesting ans seems to have a very good reflector and the ballast fits in a compartment at the bottom of the fixture. This one looks like its right behind the lamp, as a lot of these types of fixtures have them. I guess when Hubbell discontinuedb the II series and started with this design they were trying to make it more compact.

I also like the Widelite F series floods, for smaller floods I like the Cooper Bandit flood but I believe they're no longer made. For sign floods I like the long discontinued Powerlite Signlite floods.

BANDIT!

I used to have a 50w HPS and 175w MH Bandit.

Does anybody on here have a Widelite 1000w F Series flood?
