In the U.S., the GE tradename is "E-Z LUX"

I don't think that this lamp can be operated in Europe if it is designed to work with a ballast that have an ANSI code (Which is a CWA ballast usually).
US exported HID lamps designed to operated in European ballasts, shouldn't have a ballast ANSI code on their packages.
So this lamp CAN'T be operate on the european reactor ballasts for 250W mercury lamps but only with the american CWA ballasts.

dor123, GE's HPS retrofit lamps are not intended to operate on CWA/CWI/regulated ballasts. They are intended for reactor (a choke similar to those in 230v countries), HX (similar to reactor but with an autotransformer for 120v operation), and series isolation ballasts. EYE's HPS retrofit lamps can be used on all types of ballasts. So the 215w EZ-Lux lamp can be used on 230v 50hz chokes as well.
