Homebrew Mercury Floodlight
|
don't know what purpose the Aluminimum Pan was originally served (Food Dish Maybe?) but i used it for a Reflector, the Slipfitter is one of those things that Wires enter the home at the top of the Pipe before the wires go to the meter and into the house (Forgot the name lol)
the Pan does a bit too well in Reflecting Heat from the lamp as there is a noticeable warmth about 12 Inches in Front of the light beam, the Whole Reflector, even the part furthest from the lamp gets Hot,probably due to aluminimum being a pretty good conductor, what do you think Guys.
Fixture is not built to UL specs obviously, lol

BTW the name that your looking for is "service entrance cap"
BTW, the slipfitter is also called a weatherhead.
I see this fixture is precision made and complies to all applicable form 109 requirements and features the patented type 109 socket design.
and,i'll keep those names in mind.
@Jace good, that way my light stays clean and gull free, built in Gull Scarer and Repelant!
I have to say it's a cool looking fixture
