Do they just have these available in hardware stores like they do in the US? I heard that in other countries HID lamps aren't as readily available as in the US.
I bought this and the 100w Toshiba MV at a store called Yodobashi Camera (basically kinda like Best Buy here) in Tokyo which had a pretty good lighting section. The hardware store I went had a huge selection of MV lamps, all the way from 40-1000W . It was quite hard to not spend money buying lamps lol. They also had some HPS and MH.
How was Japan? I'd like to go there someday, my sister already has.. Heh. She was living in South Korea for a year so she did get to go to Japan.
Here is a lamp the same manufacturer as my laptop that I am using to write this, I didn't know Toshiba made lamps too, but I guess it's a Japan or Asia exclusive thing I guess. I know Toshiba is Japanese though. Oh Joe, my trip to Canada is coming up soon, so we need to figure out what we are going to do the short time I am in the Greater Toronto Area!!
It was great there, a lot of classic lighting still in use there too. Yeah, Toshiba and Panasonic have a lighting division that seems to make make products for the Japanese market.
Yeah, hopefully we could work something out and possibly get the other members in the GTA to meet too.
