1996 DTL Photocells (Dayburner)
|
This guy is a dayburner. It's one of the earliest of the brown DTL photocells used by NEES. I believe 1996 was the first year they were used. Has a very battered yellow caution label like the Fisher Pierce I just uploaded (the FP's is in mint condition though, as it's NOS) NEES used these until after they were dissolved by NGrid. The latest one I have is from 2001 so that must've been when NGrid switched to Sun-Tech photocells (still brown) which they currently use today though sometime in the mid-2000s they stopped ordering them in brown.
In general these DTL photocells are good quality. Some are still in use today but disappearing from lamp changes and LED conversions. This one has a round circuit board inside instead of the typical square one.
